A TV film you haven't seen (Israel's extermination of Palestinian healthcare)

It was created by the UN with the support of a voting majority of member nations.

After the event and the expulsion of many of the Palestinians by proscribed terrorists...

But since you support the UN, could you explain why the state of israel has more resolutions against it than all other nations?

And do you agree with those resolutions that the UN with the support of a voting majority of member nations have passed?

But since you support the UN, could you explain why the state of israel has more resolutions against it than all other nations?

That's a very interesting question. In 2022 there were 6 UN resolutions against Russia for the invasion of Ukraine. That same year there were 15 resolutions against Israel, and that was a quiet year, I doubt they were even in the news.

Nonsense. They've been targeting civilians for decades.

Israel won't stop until they've flattened Gaza and liked every Palestinian.

A typical day in gasa.

Was that footage taken before or after the Hamas terrorists deliberately and gleefully slaughtered Jewish women, children, and babies?

Was that footage taken before or after the Hamas terrorists deliberately and gleefully slaughtered Jewish women, children, and babies?

It was indeed taken after these events:

General Trends (October 2003 - October 2023):

Over this 20-year period, B'Tselem records indicate thousands Palestinians were killed by Israeli security forces in the West Bank and Gaza. A significant portion of these were classified as civilians, including a large number of children. The casualty figures saw sharp spikes during major military operations in Gaza.

Key Periods and Reported Civilian Deaths:

October 2003 - December 2008 (Prior to Operation Cast Lead):

This period saw ongoing clashes, targeted killings, incursions, and protests.

Hundreds of Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli forces in both Gaza and the West Bank. OCHA reports indicated that in 2007, for instance, there was an average of 10 civilian deaths per month by Israeli forces.

B'Tselem's data for this broader period (Sept 2000 - Dec 2008) indicates 961 Palestinian children were killed.

December 27, 2008 - January 18, 2009 (Operation Cast Lead in Gaza):

Approximately 1,181 Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli forces, according to B'Tselem. This operation resulted in widespread destruction and a high number of civilian casualties.

345 children were killed during this operation.

January 2009 - November 2012 (Post-Cast Lead, leading up to Operation Pillar of Defense):

Continuing clashes, incursions, and the enforcement of the Gaza blockade led to ongoing civilian deaths.

B'Tselem reported hundreds of Palestinian civilian deaths during this period.

November 14-21, 2012 (Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza):

Approximately 103 Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli forces, according to B'Tselem.

37 children were killed in this operation.

November 2012 - July 2014 (Leading up to Operation Protective Edge):

Ongoing violence, including targeted killings and incursions, resulted in additional civilian casualties.

July 8 - August 26, 2014 (Operation Protective Edge in Gaza):

This was one of the deadliest conflicts, with approximately 1,462 Palestinian civilians killed by Israeli forces, according to B'Tselem (out of 2,202 total Palestinian fatalities, the rest being combatants). Other sources put the civilian percentage even higher.

547 children were killed in this operation.

August 2014 - March 2018 (Post-Protective Edge, leading up to Great March of Return):

Sporadic violence, blockade enforcement, and isolated incidents continued to result in civilian deaths in Gaza and the West Bank.

March 30, 2018 - December 2019 (Great March of Return Protests in Gaza):

During these weekly protests near the Gaza fence, Israeli forces used live fire, leading to a high number of casualties.

Over 200 Palestinians were killed, including a significant number of civilians and children, many of whom were not posing an immediate threat, according to human rights groups. B'Tselem specifically documented at least 8 children killed by live fire during these protests in 2018.

May 2021 (Escalation in Gaza and West Bank):

A significant escalation saw at least 128 Palestinian civilians killed in Gaza, according to OCHA, including many women and children. There were also fatalities in the West Bank related to protests.

At least 68 children were killed in Gaza during this period.

2022 (West Bank surge in violence):

OCHA reported 191 Palestinian fatalities in the West Bank, many of whom were civilians, making it one of the deadliest years in the West Bank in over a decade.

January 1, 2023 - October 6, 2023 (Leading up to the current war):

This period saw a dramatic increase in violence, particularly in the West Bank.

Over 200 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank during this period, including a record number of children (at least 38 children by September 2023, according to Save the Children).

OCHA reported some 487 Palestinians, including 90 children, killed during militarized arrest raids in West Bank towns by October 2023.

While we cannot give a precise total number of killings by adding the approximate figures from the summary, as some periods overlap or are broadly described, the total number of Palestinian civilians killed by Israeli security forces in Gaza and the West Bank in the 20 years before the Hamas terrorist attack of October 7, 2023, is in the order of several thousands, likely exceeding 5,000 and possibly closer to 7,000 or more, based on the documentation of human rights organizations like B'Tselem and OCHA.

And before then ....

Post-1948 to First Intifada (1949-1987):

This period included border skirmishes, fedayeen attacks, and major regional wars (Suez Crisis 1956, Six-Day War 1967, Yom Kippur War 1973, Lebanon Wars 1978 and 1982).

Palestinians: Thousands of Palestinians were killed during this time, both as combatants in the wars and as a result of Israeli military operations, retaliatory raids, and internal conflicts within Palestinian groups (e.g., Black September). The 1982 Lebanon War alone saw 19,085 Palestinian and Lebanese deaths, according to Wikipedia.

First Intifada (1987-1993):

This was a widespread Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation.

Approximately 1,962 Palestinians were killed, primarily by Israeli security forces (B'Tselem and other sources).

Second Intifada (2000-2008):

A period of intense violence, including suicide bombings and large-scale Israeli military operations.

Approximately 3,179–3,354 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces (Wikipedia, B'Tselem), with a high proportion being civilians.

Post-Second Intifada to October 6, 2023 (as detailed in the previous response):

This period (roughly 2008-2023) included major operations in Gaza (Cast Lead, Pillar of Defense, Protective Edge, May 2021 escalation), the Great March of Return, and ongoing West Bank violence.

Palestinians: As estimated previously, likely over 5,000 to 7,000+ Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli forces.

October 7, 2023 - Present (Current Gaza War):

This period has seen an unprecedented surge in casualties.

Palestinians: As of March 20, 2025 (according to Wikipedia), at least 63,617+ Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza war. Al Jazeera reported over 46,707 by January 15, 2025, with a very high proportion being civilians, including tens of thousands of children and women. Many more are missing, presumed dead.

Israelis: Over 1,200 Israelis were killed in the Hamas attack of October 7, 2023, the vast majority being civilians. Since then, over 700 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the ongoing war.

Overall Totals (Approximations):

Given the extensive and often overlapping periods of conflict, and the differing methods of counting and classifying, providing a single, precise total for all killings since 1946 is difficult. However, based on the aggregate data from various sources:

Palestinian Fatalities (including combatants and civilians): The total number of Palestinian deaths since 1948 (including those killed in the 1948 war, subsequent conflicts, and ongoing violence) is estimated to be well over 100,000, with some figures from Palestinian sources citing around 134,000 since 1948 (Anadolu Ajansı, citing Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics). A significant portion of these are civilians. With the ongoing war, this number continues to rise dramatically.

Israeli Fatalities (including military and civilians): The total number of Israeli deaths since 1948 is in the range of tens of thousands, including military personnel killed in wars and civilians killed in attacks.

Key Organizations for Data:

B'Tselem (The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories): Provides detailed statistics on fatalities since the Second Intifada (September 2000), differentiating between combatants and non-combatants.

OCHA (United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs): Collects and publishes data on casualties in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel.

Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS): Provides figures from a Palestinian perspective.

Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA): Publishes statistics on Israeli casualties from terrorism.

Wikipedia's "Israeli–Palestinian conflict" and "Palestinian casualties of war" pages: While a secondary source, these pages compile figures from numerous primary and secondary sources and provide a good overview of estimated casualties during different conflicts and periods.

In short, Israel has killed an estimated well over 100,000 Palestinians - The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) has cited approximately 134,000 Palestinians and Arabs killed inside and outside Palestine since 1948, which aligns with this estimate.

Which, is not much more than double the number they've killed in the last 2 years.

Does this help you understand why the world is started to wake up to the fact that Israel is a brutal, apartheit state commiting genocide.

End war, and end Israel's murderous regime. It's been going on for 79 years now. And the current events will likely mean it will keep on going on for another 79 years, or until there's no arabs left in Israel.

Really?, there are 1.5 million Israeli Arabs with Israeli citizenship living in Israel, mainly of Palestinian descent but also Druze and Bedouin, many actually serve in the IDF although they're not obliged to.

You say Israel are going to kill them all or drive them out of the country.

Extraordinary.

Well, if that's not their plan, they have a funny way of showing it.

Maybe to prove that they don't want that, they could stop killing civilians and stop blowing up their homes, schools, hospitals ...

Not extraordinary, it's the plan that's you'll no doubt be celebrating...

The next step...

Linky Linky

"Israel’s defence minister has laid out plans to force all Palestinians in Gaza into a camp on the ruins of Rafah, in a scheme that legal experts and academics described as a blueprint for crimes against humanity.

Israel Katz said he has ordered Israel’s military to prepare for establishing a camp, which he called a “humanitarian city”, on the ruins of the city of Rafah, Haaretz newspaper reported"...

"Israeli forces would control the perimeter of the site and initially “move” 600,000 Palestinians into the area – mostly people currently displaced in the al-Mawasi area.

Eventually the entire population of Gaza would be housed there, and Israel aims to implement “the emigration plan, which will happen”, Haaretz quoted him saying"

The reason for the Israeli resolutions is their ongoing ethnic cleansing and the crimes committed in the West Bank/Gaza...

And before the Hamas attack...

In fact if we look at a longer period...

"From 2015 through 2023, the UN General Assembly has adopted 154 resolutions against Israel and 71 against other countries"

And since you supported the UN resolution regarding israel's formation, then you won't have any problem with supporting the litany of resolutions against israel since then...

After all they were adopted by a 'voting majority of member nations'

Murder and casualties of war are two different things.
Killing unarmed civilians is classified as murder.
Under international law the Israeli occupation of Gaza and other territories is illegal.
Therefor violence towards civilians is a criminal act because the occupying force itself is illegal.
Then again, who gives a **** about international law.
