Hi,

Redoing bathroom and was wondering what's best to put in - an acrylic or a steel bath?

I can't have one greater than 70cm wide so found a great one from a brand that was 160cm long and 70 wide - a steel bath - with one end being a "shower" end

are there any real drawback with a steel bath?

thanks :)

Personally I prefer them, they are more rigid than the acrylics - downside is they tend to lose heat slightly more quickly and (allegedly) are a bit noisier when using a shower (as if anyones worried!).

Useful tip - whatever bath you do go for, pack loft insulation around the underside of the bath before fitting the bath panel - keep you warm for hours!
