NO. 90+% of them leak if you try that. There are only strap-on's for plastic pipes afaik. (Kev will now add a lewd comment )

No Chris, you can buy cast iron strap-on bosses as well.

Drainage center is probably the best place, but we do need to trace the other end first.

you can get strap bosses for cast chris pricey tho

i still say cap the top and bomb the stack

It runs up the slope of the roof Kev it may not be that easy to get access too.

Someone else mentioned it and I agree, you can still get the full range of Cast iron Pipe/fittings that look identical to the old stuff except that it is push fit........and of course strap on bosses are an over the counter item at Drainage Center. Not overly expensive, usually Timesaver stuff:-
