Adding a timer to a boiler

Hi sorry for the confusion. It is an immersion heater as assumed. I was expecting it to be a 3A in the switch.

Mfarrow yes it is a switch which looks like the one you've pictured

Thanks for confirming. That 'switch' is what is normally called a (Switched) Fused Connection Unit (FCU or SFCU) and will (should!) have a 13A in it when feeding an immersion heater.
