Hi i already have one pir light that works fine, but i want to add two more. i have bought two lights and would like to know the way to wire the second two. i know the lights have a 'slave' live?

can anyone help a man who has had his bike nicked from his shed!!!!

Where will the cables from one light to the next run?

What type will they be?

How will you provide them with any mechanical support & protection needed?

Do you know that you may need to apply for Building Regulations approval to install these lights?

You can wire them all in parallel as Breezer says, so that they all run off their respective independent PIR sensors. The slave output is only if you want a light without a sensor to be triggered by a light with a sensor. If this is what you want to do, then the original light needs to have a slave output, and the two new lights (with no sensors) would be connected to the slave output of the original light. There is a maximum load (usually 500W?) which you can add to a single light.

thanks for speedy replies, so basically if i run my next light off the first and so on, ignoring the slaves the lights will all work indiviually. i have had one running off the first but it started to stay on all the time after 6 months, so i thought i must have done it wrong?

must be the sensor or something.

cheers mark
