mini power cut it goes for about 20 mins, then stops resets.
dont know how old the battery is as we moved in to the house 4 years ago
and was allready fitted.

some times it will not turn off until power comes back on. its sounded for twenty mins if the power has been off

Any wholesaler should stock the batts - you want a 12v 7Ah ideally. Be prepared for the alarm to sound when you open the cover on the end station.

Actually, I am assuming you are talking about the Veritas R8. You could have the straight 8 which still uses a 7Ah, or you could have the compace which takes a small battery - a 2Ah from memory, although best to check with the one thats in the panel.

Hi thanks to you all for your infromation will try a new Battery, and let you know how i have gone on.

hi!
have you looked at the glass fuse on the pcb? is it blown? does the alarm sound straight the way when the system has a power cut?

if it does i would say its the fuse! but you will need a new battery asap!

is the battery hot? or is its flat? as the cells ballon when really old

put a new battery on the old one was 8 years old but it was not hot or flat, not had a power cut as yet so i will have to flick the poweroff to see what happens.
