I want to add a velux to my drawings. The Building control says if I mark a drawing and fill out the building warrant amendment form it will be 50 quid to process. The company that did my drawings wants 100 quid to amend them plus the BC fee.

Does anyone know if I can just do as the Building control have said or do I need to pay to have these drawings changed . Its just marking the drawings and I have paid for them. What I mean is does he have copy right?

Why can't you just do the work and then BCO checks it on site when he comes to do one of his other inspections and then all is well?

Unless its just some quaint Scottish tradition, then there should not be any need to amend drawings or pay an extra fee
