alternative to Del carmen natural slate

Looking for some advice on choice of slate for a new build house, can anyone advise a cheaper slate alternative to Del Carmen natural slates?

I think that Canadian Glendyne slates are the best reasonably priced slate.

DO NOT waste your money on cheap Brazilian or Chinese slates
