Aluminium guttering or UPVC?

Hi, I need the guttering of my 1970's entire 3 bed detached house removed and replaced with new. I am torn between getting upvc guttering and seamless aluminium guttering? Iv had quotes for both and the aluminium is a bit more expensive by about 25%, but im told they last longer and maintenance free ? is that correct?

Personal choice only, mainly down to the appearance of it.
Plastic lasts for decades, and the only maintenance is cleaning which is required regardless of what material it is made from.

It fades to a horrible shade within a few year's time though.

For 25% more I'd have aluminium - as long as its not the thin stuff extruded off the back of a van and is like Japanese water torture with the slightest rain drop rattling it. The thick cast stuff is great.
