Where is the central heating joint box, it is more important to find a route from the boiler to this than the pump as everything can be done here. Of course if its adj the pump that doesn't help you much!
Consider getting a decent electrician out to have a look, he might be able to see a way he can do the job without too much disruption.
Ideal classics always seem to fail on the fan, the one in my Dad's house has failed on this twice, both times on Christmas Day!
