American terrorism ?

Ok, try this.

All Vladimir has achieved is the inevitable expansion of NATO, the thing he claimed he was trying to avoid by his illegal invasion and land grab.

Why didnt you just say that ;)

Still struggling i see that you think countries imposing sanctions will not result in an equal reaction
Do you think Russia has responded with an equal reaction?

rouble hitting 7 year highs no visible effect on the russian population . The west panicking over next years crop yields without fertilizer. The price of food in US soaring sending inflation soaring in US and in europe . German industry planning to shut down sections in the winter . European governments having to spend tens of billions if not hundred plus billion keeping price of energy down ,.Part of biggest crisis several government have faced look at the chaos in government its caused in this country and we only got 5% of gas from there . Then there is the gold and diamond markets .
So who do the sanctions against Russia seem to be effecting the most lets hope its not a one in 20 winter

They don't need to. The sanctions do that for them or haven't you noticed.

It seems there are going to be more of them ~7b of some currency. That means more shortages.

Believe it or not this effect of sanctions has been questioned fairly recently before this lot started.

The other aspect is geopolitcs. Those relate to aspects we are unlikely to hear about.

Anyway the annexations are all signed up now. Ukraine's reaction is to apply for fast track NATO membership. To achieve membership they have to meet NATO conditions. Currently that does not seem to be possible.

Putin - actual annexation and their announcement means he's backed himself into a much firmer corner.

So @gas112 is wrong? That was my point.
Perhaps you would see things more clearly if you considered the underlying economic war. Perhaps you think Russia didn't expect sanctions?

There has been some talk of other sanctions. Buy Russian stuff and you will be sanctioned. Say it;s oil and that country stops buying it. They still need it so it's bought from somewhere else - up goes prices again.

Russia aim to switch exporting to areas to their south and east. Some of it will take a year or two, Maybe longer.

Vlad is an invading thug who has illegally stolen land from a neighbour. He leads a country with a tinpot economy and thinks he can just bully to get results.

I won't be looking for excuses.

Sanctions will take a while to bite the Russian population

Let’s face it there standard of living is some what p*** poor ?

They exist on cheap vodka

And potato and cabbage soup

Russian past time getting boozed up and having brawl

:ROFLMAO:

Some of them captured abandoned
Russian tanks / armoured cars
We’re an indication as to the state of the Russian army

Inside were there rations which consisted of a sack of spuds and a sack of onions

There medical kit consisted of a box of bandages and other bits that dated back to the sixties

Jeez us wept no wonder they have to go on looting sprees

Yep Putin certainly looks after his troops welfare

Compare that to the American army
