An awkward Christmas for lefties?

I remember not that long ago, when Labour and lefty politics was made up from the working classes is represented.

Long gone now, all snobby weirdos who think everyone else is trash. Which is ironic. Labour, Lib Dems and Greens have been infiltrated by crackpots.

I don't remember the point where "the left" stopped being ordinary people and became utter loonies. It's definitely happened though. Some working class types clung onto them out of tradition, but almost all are now questioning and abandoning them. Mostly for Reform.
You don't see anything other than far right or far left so you're a bit out of touch

All the traditional loony left are switching to the loony right.

Wrong, as usual. But people are polarising in that way, to quite a large degree.

E.g. There were people who thought immigration was a good, healthy thing and welcomed others, who are now very happy to vote for a party who advocate zero immigration and probably contain racists - just because they're the only alternative to the open-border crackpot trashing of the country we've been seeing for the last decade or so.

One of those people is me, by the way in case you didn't work it out. Among many other completely rational intelligent people.

The irony being, you voted for more illegal immigration, and more legal immigrantion from non-EU countries.

You still consider yourself centrist

All your arguments fall over at that point

Some wonky logic there!

If you mean the "Boris-wave", then nobody voted for that. It definitely wasn't in anyone's manifesto.
Student visa and points based visas for workers that led to high net immigration was in Conservative 2019 manifesto, which you voted for.
