An awkward Christmas for lefties?

This whole labour thing allowing 16 year olds to vote because Labour think they will vote for them is going to backfire. They are currently 13 and have been listening for mohs to their Grandparents talking about how Labour took away their heating etc.
Very true. Im talking to my girls all the time about this. Pointing things out as they arise.

Make sure they get other viewpoints too

Teach them the importance of reaching their own conclusions. Not those of their family with no other viewpoint considered.

Thats always a tough one, with my veiws.
Nevertheless they will get influenced by social media, and school teachers. My eldest former drama school teacher has already had his 3 pence worth in..

I have said that Nigel Farage does need to watch his language and targets.
My Girls have friends who are either foreign born or have foreign parents.
They know my veiw on immigration and the people I like and dislike. Hence we have had plenty of conversation on the subject.

The best lesson you can give your kids is the confidence to have a different view to yours.

Backed by logical reasoning and thoughts

Tell your daughters about communism and how the Labour Party has destroyed Britain with it. Tell them that it was done to liberate and build solidarity with the downtrodden working classes, but that those working classes wouldn't go along with it, and so Labour abandoned then and imported millions of foreign people, most of them muslims, to try the communism thing on instead. Next, take them to Bradford, Dewsbury or Oldham to show them how this scheme is progressing, and finally explain to them the Iranian revolution of 1979, and how women in that country now live.

And tell them the truth too

Not just this russian backed stuff

Did you point out to your girls how you voted for Brexit and Boris and it turned out sh1t

have you told them Reform councils are closing care homes, raising council tax and generally failing communities everywhere they have power.

The best lessons you can give your kids is to seek out information for themselves, make their own decisions, and the confidence and courage to back themselves.

And not to kick off if they reach different conclusions than you have.
I will influence them as I see right. The same as you will do.

I will do and will tell them how the opposite side will see things.

My youngest plays football at the school in Epping thats near the hotel that it all kicked off. Ive not done any singing or dancing about it all, and even played it down. But ultimately we have a difference in cultures.
Its these cultures that I tell my girls about.
Most if not all my foreign neighbours respect our culture and our beliefs..
. They see that I treat all my neighbours with respect and dignity, so the way I vote is common sense and not because of hate.
