Angle Grinder carnage once more.

Keeping the guard on might be a good idea.

Site I'm on at the moment has a fella who buried a 12" concrete disc straight down his face.
You can't stop people from doing foolish things no matter how stringent the rules are.

Was Alastair the notbutt guy? Was that what happened to him?

Surely the guard would have flipped down on that saw once it flew in the air? :?

Guy that works for my mate had one kick back into his face 2 weeks ago 50 stitches around his mouth area

Surely the guard would have flipped down on that saw once it flew in the air?

It was wood saw blade in a grinder so no flip down guard.

Wonder what stopped it, don't most grinders have an on off switch rather than trigger?

Why don't they advertise what happens?
Most power tools should have some sort of simple training certificate

Not in my own house. You can keep the H&S stuff on building sites where they save lives and prevent serious injury. In my home you can all booger off.

That picture looks like it just sliced into a rather large layer of fat and didn't do any real damage.

putting saw blades in angle grinders is just asking for trouble. I use compound cross cut mitre saws bench mounted all day long and even then get three to four kickbacks a day.
free hand held . . stupid

Thats how Jack Cash died at the age of 14.
A pendulum cross cut saw snagged the timber and the blade lodged in his chest.

Yes I read about that but he didn't die straight away.
