I know that ATEOD what matters is what anybody I use to produce a custom 3D printed item thinks, but there's no point me looking for one of those if my whole idea is unworkable.
I want a panel something like 100mm x 200mm x 2-3mm, probably black ABS, with rectangular apertures in it to take push-in panel switches like these:
So far, so feasible.
But I want legends above each switch, so I was thinking an embedded layer of a contrasting colour - drawing here with a cutaway corner to show what I mean:
And the top surface cut away (i.e. not printed) to make letters:
Or ditto but with the contrasting layer printed with raised areas flush to the top surface:
Either idea OK?
Either idea utterly bonkers?
