Another Farage thread .........

I don't think I'll ever understand why Nigel quit right after.
Because the job he's done for 20 years is standing back and shouting abuse at people trying to do their best.

He has no experience of the job that is now needed, pulling together warring groups and trying to make something half-workable out of a complete pigs ear, when you have the support of only about a third of the adult population, the ones that did vote for you weren't voting for a single agreed manifesto; and you will be trying to negotiate with a bunch of people that you have worked hard to antagonise.

Fair enough.. time will tell on all of it I guess?

Still, at least Cameron kept at least one of his promises, ie he'd quit if the votes meant leave!! :)

I agree, but I'm not sure that the Bongo Bongo land comment was racist, it does suggest that Bloom is from an earlier era where political correctness was less of a concern as was the feelings of those who wish to be offended.. I rather enjoyed the offence that he caused in the EU Parliament with his Ein Folk, Ein Reich comments that got him escorted out of the building.... I would rather have someone who is less polished but knew his stuff than some mealy mouthed say nothing professional politician.. Doesn't UmBongo come from Bongo Bongo land?
Times change, he has a duty to keep up with them if he wants to be involved with politics and make changes for the more modern UK! Or he comes over as offensive and well.. you know the rest!
Blimey, umbongo drink, loved that - and kia-ora. Not just for crows :)
I would like openness and honesty and perhaps just a little rude rather than a constant sea of grey PC hogwash. The PC brigade can be as bland as they like but you don't get to see what they really believe in... Perhaps I am a little old fashioned myself in wanting to see the warts and all....People worry me when they appear to be perfect... Well, apart from myself that is.;)
Well Mr Perfect ;) I don't understand why you can't have openness, honesty and passion but also keep up with the times with what words you address the public? Does he have to use outdated words that are detrimental in order to not seem bland? No!!
Anyway, UKIP party seemed to have had a fair few warty members in it, grins.
Well then, it is probably best that Mr Bloom is no longer in UKIP then though I'd prefer him to that slimy toad Hamilton..

No talking to you, Mr deleteallmypostseveniftheydontcontainswearwords!! ;)

For me, I'd prefer neither!! Grins. Must be better out there :)
Of that I have no doubt and I look forward to them joining UKIP though I don't mind them being a little less polished than Teflon Tony and David crybaby Cameron

standing back and shouting abuse at people, while he lines his pockets and fills his boots by claiming his pay and allowances but fails to do the job he's paid for.

I've corrected that for you...

Does anyone remember his publicity stunt of standing on a fishing boat (that was previously engaged in fraudulent fishing scam) and pretending to care about the fishing trade?

"Over the three years that Nigel Farage was a member of the European Parliament Fisheries Committee, he attended one out of 42 meetings. Greenpeace research released today shows that during the three major votes to fix the flaws of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), Nigel Farage was in the building but failed to vote in favour of improving the legislation."

"Farage’s own record while an MEP in the European parliament. As one observer pointed out on Twitter, it’s not exactly the scorecard of a star employee:"

UKIP is the 'laziest' party in Brussels

What job is he paid for?.... He has used much of his EU pay and allowances to fund the extraction of the UK from the EU, so he has done what he is paid to do... Folk knew what his aims were from his earliest days at the EU and yet they kept electing him to do that job, so they were content with his progress.

It seems that the new meds and the electric shock therapy seem to be working, JD has managed to find the right section to post in tonight....Clever Boy!

I think JohnD also has double standards :)
We talked a bit a short while ago about the meat industry and halal and kosher meat too.
He told me basically that I shouldn't just talk about halal otherwise... well, you know the rest.
And yet all I see in his posts is negative stuff about Farage or the EU. Easily done, granted but Farage is in politics, where's all the stuff about the other politicians that have lied etc? There's enough of them out there to choose from.

So in the spirit of John's fair play that he told me about, John, play fair and be balanced!
