been asked a question today...... combi boiler very old cant remember what it was but can i change this pump which as a filter or air release thingy on top and can it be changed with a normal pump which does fit he says .........

No.

Thats if you are saying you want to remove a pump which has an auto air vent in the pump casting and replace it with one that doesn't.

The AAV is there for a reason

Why not just change the head?

dont see the harm in it BOB but am sure you are about to dazzle us with your brilliance

If you're thinking of the "combi boiler very old cant remember what it was " I'm pretty sure it explodes if you do anything to it.

corgiman YOU SHOULD BE BANNED FROM GIVING ADVICE AS YOU DO NOT HAVE A CLUE WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.

the aav is placed at this point for a very good reason

what makes you think you know better than the R & D department who have FACTS and tests to prove their opinions

this is getting beyond a joke now it really is.

does anyone else agree with lor?, if so i will bow out and go.

I realise i am not the be all and end all of the job but come on do i deserve this brow beating bully boy giving it the large every time he posts????

also the AAV is on the main body of the pump ASSEMBLIE MATE not on the head

before you have a pop get your facts right.

changing the head of the pump wont affect the AAV in any way

and I was agreeing with scat man to replace the head

why dont you just do one you little bigot

you don't own this site Crappyman .
