Anti semitic attack

On why Jihad Al Shami was given bail and Lucy Connolly wasn't...

Al Shami is Tier One, Lucy Tier Two.

Why not Rudukabana, he pleaded guilty to terror charges, downloaded terror material and manufactured Ricin.

Why not the dozens of terrorism arrests every week of supporters of a proscribed terror group.

Rudakubana was not an Islamist nor was he convicted of a terrorist attack. We've been through this ad nauseum back in February. I'm not going over it again.

Those arrested for wearing a T-shirt did not actually attack anyone.

Also, Jihad al Shami hadn't actually been charged with a crime!
OMG a bit difficult to charge him now, it was a terrorist attack plain and simple plotted against Jews at a synagogue.

Obviously. But that's a different point. People are asking why he wasn't on remand for the alleged rape. And I have been explaining that you can't be held on remand if you haven't been charged with a crime. I am not making any sort of point. Just explaining the basic law.

Not even if he was thought to be a further risk?

Is this wrong then?

*sorry thats someone who has been charged*

AAhh my mistake, I thought you meant charged with this attack.

The Manchester synagogue attacker had been arrested on suspicion of rape and released on bail before the deadly attack on Thursday.

Jihad Al-Shamie, known to be a 35-year-old British citizen of Syrian descent, was not charged with the offence.

He wasn't charged yet.

He was on "police bail" whilst they investigated the allegation.

You don't need to be a lawyer to get this. If you ever watch a crime drama, like Prime Suspect, you will know that the police can only hold somebody for a day or so without charging them. If they are not charged, they have to be released.

Yes I realised after I posted it...
