Just a quick technical question. Had the terrorist been charged and bailed. Or had he been arrested and released pending enquiries.

Something doesn't sit right with this, we are being drip fed bits of information such as being on bail for rape, and death threats made to a Tory MP
also the police response was very very quick(he was shot 6 mins after 999 call was made) this would only be possible if armed police were positioned close by, maybe the police expected something.

It does sound very quick.

The curious question as to why Lucy Connolly was denied bail has never been answered.

Pretty much everybody can be classed as a potential terrorist.

It sounds like he hadn't been charged and the police were still investigating his case. So, there wasn't anything more they could do. You can't hold someone for more than a short period before they are charged. I think it's a maximum of 36 hours.
