I'm currently going through the process of designing a new install for an old house. I've seen the Schneider resi9 consumer units. I like some of the details(and size). Has anyone been using these yet? I'm more than likely going to go all RCBO as in the total cost of the install its not much of a % more.

The design looks like it should be a little quicker to install. Failing that whats a good quality consumer unit?

I have never heard of the make you mention so can't comment on them.

Hager and MK are offten regarded as good makes, what both can be got at TLC.

And the industry standard in nearly all commercial buildings for the last 20 odd years.

Not used the resi9 stuff but I'm sure it'll be ok. The easi9 boards are just as good as the older multi9 stuff that we all know and love.

That's exactly what it is. I don't quite see why they felt it necessary to change it in the first place.

Isn't it just like Square D with fresh clothes on?
More like Merlin Gerin, but they did go through a period of branding all the residential stuff Square D.
Schneider own, among other brands, GET, Jo-Jo, Thorsman, Tower, Sarel, Himel, Telemecanique, Merlin Gerin, Square D, Invensys, Serck, and many more.

I think it is only in the last few years that they have started re-badging their Merlin Gerin and Square D stuff as Schneider.
