Application Written Off - What does this mean

Hi

Can anyone tell me what Application Written Off means with regards to Building Regs? We had a 2 storey extentsion built 7 years ago and the LA Building Regs officer stated that a door need .5cm extra.

He said that it only affected us if we sold and advised us to do when we next decorated. As we are now ready to decorate I did an online check and the application is now "written off"

Does anyone know what it means and what the impications are?
