Arise Sir Lewis

I think giving him a knighthood is totally wrong. He drives a very fast racing car, which is a very safe car in comparison to normal cars or even the likes of saloon racing cars, for a great deal of money and now he gets honoured in this manner.

Six points on my licence was all I got for driving fast. 'Sir fillyboy'?, no chance, *******s.

As proved when George Russell, (who is 5" taller), squeezed himself into the very same car and had to wear a pair of shoes 1 size too small to operate the pedals safely yet would have certainly won the race if the backroom boys hadn't, (deliberately?), messed up a tyre change. If he had won that race, under those constraints, imagine what he could do with the same car set up to his personal requirements. It would have shown the whole racing world that LH is only a part of the package and the car is equally, if not more, the reason he has won so many races. Also factor in that when someone starts to win a number of races their ego also gets bigger, and they can be intimidating to other drivers, who will often give them the benefit of doubt in a potential race scenario. With GR they were more inclined to think they were better than him because he hasn't had the best of results with the Williams car.

Greatest racing driver of all time? Jim Clark.

Hand these things out like pennies these days. Get rid of the pompous mean nothings.........

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who perform much more dangerous tasks in their jobs each day for far less money and they don't even get recognised. Those that do get recognised usually get a much lower recognition award and then simply get on with what they do every day.

Took the words out of my mouth conny, for years now many have said 'its the car' Not detracting from LEwis but the Mercedes car is absolutely light years ahead of the rest of the field. They have absolutely dominated Qualifying and race pace, even with Bottas who we all know is nothing but midfield at best.
As you say GR proved within 1 hour in that poorly fitted car he could already dominate against a driver that regularly runs Lewis close in races. And i really dont think GR is that special either. In LEwis defence though he has made some outstanding wet weather drives.
That aside Im fed up with his 'black privilege' treatment in F1 despite him wanting equality and being actually mixed race not black. BLM etc and his insistence of somehow deserving control over how f1 reacts to BLM and him because of his colour utterly fcks me off to not watch F1 anymore.

Loved that fillum about James Hunt & Nicky Lauda, I said I loved that film about James Hunt & Nicky. 'Rush' I believe it was called.
In those days maybe half a dozen died every year, it was an incredibly risky sport and it was more down to driver ability & balls than the best car, although obviously the car was a big factor. I've not watched F1 for years, too boring.

James Hunt won the 1976 World Championship, same year Barry Sheene won on the bikes, what a pair eh?

You have to admire those Gerries.(y)

It's Jerrys, you may be confusing Germans with Spice Girls.(n)

Thank s for that Mottie. I just set a few off. I went to my van to get my blow torch... A bunch of pretty you European girls out side..... "have I done the right thing" Yes I love the Eastern europeans but Im happy Brexit is done.

And of course Lewis fans call people who disagree haters or racists

So for the record I really didn't like Schumacher for years including his dress sense racing ethics and lapdog team mate. Wasnt once called a racist or hater.
