You obviously do not recall that it was mainly Bill Clinton's foot-dragging over Bosnia that hampered progress. The then Conservative UK government waffled and prevaricated endlessly, but no sensible Brit was under any delusion about the UK role: it was the US that really mattered. You may not like to hear it, but it was the election of Tony Blair and New Labour in 1997 that galvanised action on that front. Working at NATO at the time, I remember it well.

I know roughly dates but I do not have any long term memory any more, something that happened to me last year I think could be 5 years ago something from last week could be months for me. I don't mind as I am used to it now but can be very frustrating trying to remember names of songs etc. I can play my guitar but suddenly lose the beat as I cannot recall it.
