I have a B+Q electric tile cutter. The box says it cuts ceramic, terracotta, slate and marble. It has a diamond cutting wheel (MPA-Z-05480).
Is this likely to be able to cut porcelain floor tiles as well ?
I know that I need something with a diamond wheel, but I don't know if there are different grades of diamond wheel, some suitable and some not.

Many thanks.

Yes it should do. Porcelain is pretty tough so a cheapo cutter might "complain" a bit, but it should work.

just remember to take your time and run the tiles through slowly, then you should have no worries

Gcol and Jefoss, thanks guys for your replies. Will treat it gently.
Doesn't matter too much if it doesn't stand up to lots of use (don't expect it to for £20). First time I've done any tiling, and probably wonn't do any more until I next move house.
