I do love my baked beans, Branston for me. I asked my daughter to see if they had any on offer on Amazon, they often do. She didn't order any this time, but instead said why not try Amazon own brand as they were cheap. So she ordered ONE tin, just in case they are no good. And how much did this purchase cost? 49p. Seems cheap enough for a tin of beans, but the 49p includes delivery. Absolutely bonkers!

Cost of living got me buying beans from lidl for only 35P.

I left the heinz team ages ago.

Branston came out best in a taste test in a food mag (can't remember which one), but JS have a decent price on 6 tins: 3.75.
While I appreciate it's 62.5p a tin not 35, they're a cut above Lidl.

Heinz are just tooooooo sweet, even the low sugar ones.

I was buying a crate of 24 tins for about £17 at a cash and carry, but there is only so much room in the back of my car. Iceland had a six pack of Branston beans on offer, but delivery only-not in store. My kids get lots of food/drink from Amazon, cans of coke for £7.50 a tray of 24.

Yea we left the Heinz camp during Covid, try the Sainsburys standard own brand, they're not bad, not quite Branston or Heinz but pretty good, Lidl beans are naff.

She pays for Prime though yes?

We get Sainsburys. But they are quite a lot firmer than Heinz.

If you want cheap beans, Asda are 28p, Aldi are 27p and JS are 26p.

I like the Sainsbury’s reduced sugar and salt ones. 40p. After being on those for a while, Heinz ones taste far too sweet for me. It’s like when you drink full fat coke when you are used to Diet Coke.

I once purchased a screwdriver from China for 17p- that included delivery (and it was in a jiffy type bag). As expected the screwdriver was crap. I just wanted to see if it would turn up.
