The other day I went to see an extractor that had burnt out due to water dripping into the electrics.
The pipe on top of the fan goes straight up and out but it's been in and working for years.
Owner thinks it's condensation but I think it could be the rain we have had recently getting in.
Is there a fan that has water proof electric box inside ? Or maybe a different solution?

I forgot to say it already has 2 elbows, This seems like its condensation forming in the vertical pipe going up to the roof.

Last one I went to with similar symptoms was the membrane torn in the loft,it was a small tear, condensate was building up and leaking thru wall mounted extractor, worth a good check, I replaced hose and all was well afterwards. If it`s been in for years then i can`t see it being an installation problem,Just a suggestion.
