Bathroom pull switch

Just had a look. There is an electrical ceiling rose with cables attached. Extractor fan cable, switch cable, feed in and feed out. The cables pass through a hole in the concrete and are not sleeved with conduits as far as I can see.
Regards

Worth a look.
You could consider some form of movement sensor.
Or join the cable somehow - which won't be very easy if you don't want anything to be seen.

I had a look at movement sensors and from what I read and understood I need 4 core and earth. I could be mistaken.
I think I'll solder and sleeve the join and go with the rocker switch on the wall outside the bathroom door more straightforward.
Thanks to everyone for helping and suggesting.

The op has already said he/she wants to put the switch on the outside.
Possibly because they think it has to be outside.

All I'm saying is that if the OP actually wants a switch outside the bathroom rather than inside, then that's fine. But if what they really want is a wall switch rather than a pull cord and they are just assuming that therefore it would have to be outside then that's wrong.

5 feet from the intended switch position to the edge of the bath.

It could be inside the room if they want.

You would get a light fitting, with a built-in sensor.

Do we get to place bets on which he then tears out first - the movement sensor light fitting or his hair?

Sounds like it might be wired up back to front if it's doing that.. Sparkwrong? :)
