How much money are we talking? Is it worth your time?

I've bought a couple of car batteries of the net with no problem, however a small battery for a camera that was not cheap was i think a cheap copy, completly useless, so the moral to this story is buy your camera batteries in a local shop/supermarket.

Didn't. Rang them up and explained I'd had an "enote" from one of his colleagues refusing help because of the time issue. I explained that time wasn't the issue. He thought that they'd just sent the wrong item and I'd been lax in noticing it.

When he realised the product inside the pack was not what was on the outside, he offered a replacement straight away.
 
to broaden the debate slightly, what if your business was importing batteries by the million to sell on... you wouldn't consider checking every box you received. It comes down to common sense. And surely the retailer is going to want to get it right, and not lose that big order !!

And to be fair, most retailers are pretty good these days
