Baxi combi 80e not fitted properly 4 years ago-advice please

Agile your thought process behind this is completely wrong as in don`t fit because what may happen in the future by someone else... If you worked like that you would never service or repair an open flued appliance in case someone blocked off the vent etc etc .

We would even have to allow for the possibility of a wasp nest being built and appliances being attacked by copper formate and falling apart.

You are now being silly & pedantic. We all now what is meant from distances to openings.
I don`t give a monkey`s stuff what Corgi says about fabric of building blah, blah, if the MIs state the distance from the flue to an openable window (not fabric of building) should be 150/300/25mm then that`s were this kiddy will site it.Up Corgi. MIs take precedent.

i would have though it would be ridiculous to ignore the fabric of the building measurement simply because it isnt mentioned in the MI's. the MI's take precedence if they contradict the regs/corgi but they dont take precedence over something they dont even mention. pretty poor judgement to ignore it simply for that.

also someone mentioned nailing a window shut to prevent it being opened. thats not acceptable apparently and it must be converted completely to a non opening window so that someone cannot un-nail it readily.
