Hello
Help, my boiler has just packed up. The flames is not lighting up, I have tried the Reset button but no joy.Any ideas? :?

Is the water pressure above 1.5 Bar? The gas cooker is working OK ?

If so then perhaps you will need a competent boiler engineer to diagnose the fault?

If you have users instruction, I'm pretty sure it explains how to reset the overheat stat, which is located inside the boiler
If not, post back

Thank you all , I was just trying to make it work, the pressure did go up to between 3 and 4. Its down again to somewhere between 0 and 1.

The reset button on this model is apparently the R button on the outside (same function that sets the boiler to either heat water only or radiators and boiler etc) . Thats the one I have been turning anti clockwise according to Baxi website instructions. No joy. It sounds as if its still working just no flame ,hence no heat. Any help will be gratefully received :(

take front cover off. inside on the left is a vertical 22mm copper pipe. about half way up is an overheat stat.there will be a very small red or black button in the middle of the stat. press it and hey presto. if this dont work , post back. p.s make sure boiler pressure is at 1 to 1.5 bar when cold .

There are two types of "reset". A soft electrical reset on the front and a "hard" reset inside the case.

The hard reset is a last resort for the boiler to cut off the gas if it has got too hot.

Merely resetting it without finding the cause of the overheating is likely to just result in further trips.

A common cause is allowing the system pressure to fall below 1 Bar but there has been no admission of that ( yet ).

Agile. common fault with this boiler. Baxi have a replacement which connects to front reset .they say its not a fault , but the few i have fitted never trip after new one fitted.

Well I have reset it as per instructions and the flame is back on, hot water working and im now just waiting for the radiators to kick in. Hopefully that wont be too long. Thank you very Fitz 1 . Is there something else I should watch out for. The pressure seems to be between 1 and 1.5 . I assume there is something I should be doing to ensure pressure maintainance?

Will the radiators take a while to warm up? Sorry not great with heating crises :D
