BBC Tax for all

Will the be asking me to buy a bus ticket for a trip I don't intend to make or a train ride I am not going on?
You will continue to pay tax on income above your personal allowance, unless you chose to live somewhere else or break the law - correct.

Read into that what you will. (y)

personal allowance

At the moment I do not have to fund the BBC if I choose not to consume their licensable content. Why should that change?

Labour want people who don't watch or want the BBC to fund it.

BBC subscriptions (licence fee) have been falling in the last few years, because people no longer want to consume their services. The governments solution is to get you to pay anyway.

Excellent idea,it’s worked for decades. There’d be little to no innovation in tv without the bbc. Just look at the digital channels to see what the private sector produces..

I have no problem paying a smaller licence fee to be able to watch advert free tv and advert free radio

What I have a problem with is the vast number of radio and tv channels they have

It’s not 1975 with 1 competitor

Shrinking the BBC is what must happen
