Hi i was given this unit a short time ago, and its been great, however recently the fridge hasnt been getting cold enough so ive been having to turn the dial up more and more. its now on full, and the fridge is still about 9°C. The freezer however is SO cold that ice cream turns to solid ice etc...
Any ideas? all my white goods at the moment seem to be knackered! broken boiler, broken dishwasher, broken fridge.... never rains but it pours!
Kind Regards
Kieran

have you defrosted it for 24 hrs that means switched off doors open . you might have blocked snow tubes leading to fridge.

no never tried that, i will empty it this weekend and give it a go, thanks for the advice, i'll post my findings on here!

how full is your fridge / freezer ? does it require air flow ? I ask this as we have a combined unit and if there is insufficient air gaps front and back we get these problems with an inch either side everything works fine.

both are getting on toward being empty because of it not working properly, but there is loads of space around the unit's back and sides...

OK, i defrosted the unit all weekend (3 days...) and cleaned it! i turned it back on today and.... no change, fridge isnt getting remotely cold, just sits it 12°C while the freezer gets MEGA cold... IS there a pipe i can check for being blocked, while the fridge/freezer are still relatively empty? Or anything else i can check (other than ebay for a new machine!)?
Cheers

24 /30 hrs to reach temp in the fridge after a defrost no tubes to unblock ,if still the same tomorrow i would surgest diverter valve on compresser needs replacing not a easy job for diy .

thanks again rocks1, thats re-assuring i'll update tmoro then. Thanks for your reply, do you know where i can find out what the diverter valve looks like?!

its near the compresor at the back but if will need a regas afterwards not for u to do potman needed cost about 100 .00.

oh right, so if its not working by this time tmoro its probably time to get a new fridge! £100 would pay for a replacement... although may well break soon too.... decisions decisions
