Bending plastic conduit

Anyone else ever blow down a length of conduit making an elephant noise? You can scare the £%#@ out of people

No, but I've whirled a length of flexible conduit round and round above my head and made an ear-piercing screech.

Doesn't even rub it this chap...

No it's not required if the conduit is warm enough, and by that I don't mean hot.

At typical comfortable environmental temp conduit will bend with a spring quite happily, repeating what I wrote earlier; I find rubbing a small patch just adds a little more control on the point of bend, reducing the tension and therefore distortion of adjacent areas.

Agreed but I always give it a rub, out of habit probably

I once tried using flevible conduit on the outlet of a vacuum cleaner to blow dust from voids...

I think it lasted just long enough to reach full speed before the nois was too much.

Back in the day one of the jokers in the workshop would pick up any length of conduit and do the elephant call, a couple of other jokers dipped the end of a length in the common urinal and left it in a prominent position..........

OMG that's sick lol, I used to draw round the end with a black marker pen

We used to put oildag (a light but sticky oil loaded with fine graphite) on telephone ear pieces. Nothing nasty, just funny.
