Marcus only lets you have one linked account. I think you can only transfer out to that account, usually the one you sent the money from. So at least they make it safe in one direction.

TrueWell, that will not take long to count,
Is that where you got your user name from?We sold our last house about 5 months before we bought again. Had a scary amount in the bank, it looked more like a phone number than a bank balance.
I had to keep checking to make sure it was still there. We did split it out to get under the FSCS limit, it was terrifying transferring it via online banking, I have never looked so carefully at a bank account number and sort code before hitting the OK button.
Pretty sure most of our accounts are like that. Can only pay in and take out to our joint main account.I really like that feature on Marcus. Some of our other accounts do the same thing.

I would be suspicious if it was a start-up, virtual, or foreign bank I'd never heard of.Does anyone else feel really uncomfortable moving money to a new bank?![]()

I wouldn't go chasing the best rate with some unknown bank or a foreign bank in a dodgy country. Some of the foreign ones have very traditional names but are actually in Pakistan or Nigeria. We mainly try stick to well known British building societies and banks, even if they pay a little bit less.

That was bad luck, sorry to hear that.I met a super model online the once she wanted us to get married but the week she was due to come over from Italy she fell ill, I had to send her 10k for hospital fees, that was all genuine, so im not always suspicious.
