I have never had a Diall lamp fail prematurely, or at all in fact I & I have some that are over 4 years old now and are used regularly. Available from B&Q and Screwfix.

A lot may not fail but often the ones in the sheds are poor performance in terms of real lumen output and colour. Not saying they all are but many very inconsistent or true. If you shop around for the Enlights you can get them at a decent price. Remember the higher the Kelvin number the whiter the light

Not had a problem with any Diall lamp I've seen or owned, they have always been the colour it says on the packet, I have some in 2700 and some in 3000k. I know of people who have the 4000k versions too, no problems there either. They are all as bright as I would expect given their wattages.

Wattage isn't a true indication of the level of light or brightness. Its not the way to choose a lamp as manufacturing process, component type, quality and technology can be all so different. If you found something your happy with and confident in then that's always useful.
I have the newer Enlite 5w 6000k or may be 6400K in the kitchen and they are very good but can also come down to personal preferences.

Just an update: I fitted 6 of the Pro-elec lamps in the dining room/ den in mid-May 20.

A few months later, one popped off, so I swapped it and they've been fine ever since.

And they get hammered every day, so they've done well.

Think I'll get some for this job.

I think a lot of Osram stuff is now branded as Ledvance

Yeah, seen those.

I have looked at Pro-elec GLS equivalents on CPC website and reviews don't seem so positive.

Which? recommend Integral (a brand I have a great deal of respect for) and they are £4+ a pop.

Ikea branded lamps are rated by them too.
