Probably a bit of both... I've known Tony a long time, and, well......
is it a combi for combi swap?
to many things influence the cost apart from the boiler itself even if you had a not very good boiler like a vokera....... gas upgrade, powerflush, controls, filter, flue system, condense route etc......

Nothing influences the job more than the installer and the amount paid to him or her guarantees nothing.
And as you know a lot of what Tony posts on here is fishing for reactions. He's a nice guy when you meet him and very different to how he comes across on here.
But he's in a world of his own at the moment...............
Have to agree with you whole heartedly
If it is a medical condition, then slagging needs to stop
If Tony winds people up with his silliness fully aware of what he is doing, then what can he expect
There are some 'timid' guys on this forum who have been rubbed the wrong way. Even they have come out fighting
