Looking to get a 300 ltr unvented indirect cylinder. Any help in choosing the best make would be appreciated.

Bit like cars, largely a personal choice!

What make/model of car do you have?

I have some Peugeots!

My preference for unventeds is the Santon. Its the second make of Megaflo and has a separate EXV which I greatly prefer!

OSO, blends water to 60'C so you don't need as big a cylinder. 250 litre cylinder will give approx 400 litres of usable water.

take your point. just wondering if the more expensive ones are worth the extra?

Yes, when I had a Mini it could be driven to exactly the same places as the Daimlers and Bentleys went to.

Trouble was I could not afford all those expensive places!

dont get a megaflo, you pay more for a design flaw. Make sure whatever you buy has an external vessel(most have).
I've never come across a cylinder that had any issues really, apart from some of the older glass lined Aristons. The quality of some of the cheaper ones definitely isn't as good, but only in that the pipe connections are not always very straight, and the insulation casing is badly fitted. They work and don't leak just the same as something dearer.
I often use plumbe center own brand, they are well priced and made by heatrae sadia anyway, also used gledhill, kingspan, glowworm, range.

ACV then you'll only need a 200 litre tank.
The reheat times leave all other unvented tanks in the shade.
