    Hello,

    I am trying to add a thread to a tube so that I can attach glides/machine feet, what would be the best product for the job? I have looked at a lot of options, with threaded tube inserts being one of the best looking and simple to fit.

    Examples of what i've currently looked at;

    Thanks.

    Those pop in inserts are definitely the way to go......but you need to measure the inside dimensions of your tubing carefully so you choose the correct size.

    The ones with ribs? Also should I go exact sizing or should I go for a size slightly smaller or larger than the tube to give myself a bit of room?

    Thanks.

    The ribbed ones are hammered into the tube, and they fit very firmly.....its not the best move to get them out again for re-use! All of these fittings will state the size for what they are intended, so best to go by their specifications.

    Okay thanks for the info, it looks as if threaded tube inserts may be the best route for me to go down for this.
