BG day -any hints (useful)

I did this test....

Lots of pictures of flues to categorise NTCS/AR etc.
Lots of multi choice papers similar to ACS papers.
Electrics - checking earth cont. short circuit test, resistance to earth and polarity

I remember a picture of a pipe end (gas) that had been pinched and soldered. How would I catergorise this unsafe situation. AR I stated and the guy told me I was wrong...... I guess in theory he is right. I just thought it strange to show you something a little dodgy and then say No thats perfectly OK??????

As for working for BG
Hours are short (33pw in summer)
Training is good
You don't have to work too hard, just smart
The targets are achievable (since so many of the guys are damn lazy)
Pay isn't great, but hour for hour I'd say it beats working for yourself.
Zero responsibility (so long as you work safely)
Other rewards are good

There are though.... many, many, many things that are wrong

wouldnt that be an ID and a riddor?

inappropriate fitting etc

I dont know, didn't it use to be an acceptable method?

Id say AR maximum.[/b]

I done my acs 2 months ago and that picture came up it was classed as n.c.s as was a 1 pence coin soldered onto the end of a pipe.

NO way

Thats an ID and riddor (inapprpriate fitting)

You must be mistaken or your training provider is was this in a PAPER??? or in a training session

You should inform CORGI about this Pronto

i did my ACS last week and there is no way i would be working tomorrow if i classed an inappropiate fitting as NCS.

A while back I had NG in for a pressure problem and (i'd missed it I admit  ) there was a pipe I thought was totally disconnected but wasn't that was sealed as this, pinched and solder. They turned all off and disced and I had to cap off properly before gas going back on
