I've been recommended a Biasi Riva Compact HE Mk2 by a local installer. I've had a look on the manufacturer's site for specifications and notice that they also make a Riva Advance HE. The price of the latter seems quite a bit higher than for the compact but the specs don't seem all that different. Can anyone tell me what the main differences are and also if you think it's worth paying extra for the Advance? I'm also willing to pay more for another brand such as WB or Vailllant, but after looking through various posts, particularly those from Agile, I'm not sure if they're worth it.
Opinions from installers and repairers would be greatly valued.
Thanks

The Compact is B Energy Rating (86-90%) and the Advance is A rated (over 90%). The Advance are about 90% efficient and the Compact about 87%. You have to decide if it's worth the extra money.

If you want something better, Broag Avanta boilers have a good reputation and they come with a 5 year warranty.

biasi in my option does make a good B rated boiler. the Mk2 has apparently been third party verified for how efficient it on the sebuk score. apparently other makes have been telling porkys about how efficient the boiler is. so you will be able to get around what it states if your system is set up correctly.

but to note this version is new to UK. it is a budget priced boiler but does come with a two year warranty and I do fit them(fitting one on Monday).
