Blanking off old cable help

I've had an old electric heater removed but the cables left inside the wall after being disconnected.

The other cable next to it goes to a socket in the next room.

My plan was to cap the cable with a terminal block and fit a blanking plate over that area. The walls are solid so following the cable all the way back to remove wouldn't be ideal.

Would my idea be suitable? And if so, can anyone recommend which terminal block to use please?

Thanks

Where I have removed a device, I fit a blanking plate so it is clear there was an electrical device there at one point so also likely cables so it complies with safe routes, I hope that cable shown cut is dead?
