Blocking off an unused 13 amp double socket

I want to remove a double socket and fit a blank plate in its place. Since we may decide that we want to replace the socket sometime in the future, what is the best way to make the cables safe in the interim period?

The Ls must be connected together,
the Ns must be connected together and
the Es must be connected together.

Any suitable connector may be used. The Es can go in the back box E terminal.
