Just got told off because I was pulling the leaves with the broom and that I should always brush away outside and pull the broom towards me inside. Is this true? I usually use a blower not broom too much as they seems so slow.

When blowing leaves around Obstacles-plants, parasols etc is there any special technique? I generally tried to blow everything onto grass or into a corner then scoop it up

Have you given the leaves a good talking to and told them where you want them to go?

Or should that be reserved for the person that told you your doing it wrong? :)

Just get the vacuum cleaner out and suck them up.
But you must remember to go up and down in alternate directions to achieve the stripes!

It's this crazy German customer who was adamant about this. How about blowing?

The Swabians created something called sweeping weeks, basically a rota sharing sweeping of public areas. Very efficient.

If you push then I presume your critic has offered to hold that snow shovel for you to sweep the leaves into?
