Hi folks. Single skin concrete block wall, harled on the outside. Former kennels (missing it's roof), looking to remove most of the internal walls - cut into buttresses to keep some strength.
Hoping to make a basic walled patio out of it for this summer and maybe next, already has a concrete floor which very gently slopes into a gulley along the front.
There's a few cracks in walls I'm wanting to keep, looking for ideas to strengthen these. I might end up demolishing the lot in a couple years time so doesn't need to be too fancy.
I'm thinking flat galvanised straps to stitch them together, then fill in with mortar?
If so, what length of strap, and how many? And what fixings would be suitable, masonry screws, plugs, etc?
