Hi All,

Does anyone know how close to the claimed efficiency rating boilers get and do non condensing get closer to the figure than condensing ones more of the time?

In particular I'm referring to the Worcester Bosch 35CDi (condensing and 90% efficient) and the 35CDi II RSF (non condensing and 78% efficient). Is the one 12% more efficient in the real world?

Are condensing and non condensing boilers now on a par for reliability and repair costs?

Cheers

Stu

the claimed rating is taken over 1 year test to take in to accout winter /summer runnung so should be accurate, most boilers are reliable if fitted correctly

Thanks for that, I thought it may be a la test like a cars mpg where the government figures are nothing like the actual ones you get.
