I have had a Halstead Ace High Combi boiler fitted in our utillity/second toilet, and have been told that I need to build an enclosure with vents around it. If it's a sealed boiler, why the vents????

To allow hot air from inside the enclosure to dissipate, and to suck in more cold air at the bottom (kind of like a cooling tower.

Thus keeping the boiler cool(ish).

The manufacturer's instructions will give you the compartment ventilation requirements....many room sealed boilers today don't require any.
