Boiler / radiator problems!

there is what looks like a drain tap in the airing cupboard. It looks like it comes off the immersion tank; all other pipework is hidden.

(the boiler powers the central heating and the immersion tank powers our hot water; not a combi system).

no, that drain off tap is for the hot water cylinder feed from the main cold water tank in the loft.

it is poss that a lazy plumber didnt fit drain valves for the central heating, ive seen a few. which make things a little more complicated.

does the boiler have one?

no drain valve on the boiler either.

I've left the boiler/heating off for an hour or so and when i turned it all back on again, the boiler fired up, started heating and after a few minutes the overheat switch popped out and the boiler shut down :(

Rang EON and they will be out Sunday (£50 flat fee :))
