Hi All,
I am due to replace the boiler from hell, namely the IMI Range Powermax 135.

What would be the best combi boiler to get, in todays market ?

Thanks for your help.

Worcester or Vaillant seem to be very common, they are up there with the best.

Powermax boilers tend to be quite good on hot water flow rate, so you may want to chose a combi with a hot water store inside to keep a similar performance. I'd go for one with at least 30kW capacity, even 40kW say the Worcester Greenstar 40HE.

The house is a 2 bedroom semi-detached property with one bathroom only

Thanks,

Ecotec Plus 831 in your case, if you have mainly showers, 837 if you have nothing but baths.

Ok, thanks for the advice.

If I went for the Ecotec 831 what would be a fair price to pay (supplie & installe) ??? As a guide figure only.

Thanks,

Assuming that the powermax is upstairs and the new boiler would go in the same place, so a vertical terminal would be needed, a very rough guide would be £2000-£2300 + VAT
