Greetings

I've been having problems with this sander.

New-- out of the box, the sanding pad brake works fine-- switch on, pad doesnt rotate until in contact with the work.

After about 10 mins use-- the sanding brake no longer works. Power on, and it spins/rotates like a banshee. Thereafter, the brake occasionally works, but mostly doesnt.

I've now had 3 [replaced direct by Bosch] that do exactly the same thing. I asked them to test the third one before it was sent, but they didnt, and it does the same.

My Swiss made Bosch 280 delta sander is solid. all 3 defective GEX sanders have been made in Malaysia-- do they make them anywhere else?

Anyone got a GEX125-- does your sanding pad brake work?

Any advice comments much appreciated.

Thanks!

cant comment on the 125 but have sold loads of the gex150's and never a problem

best i can suggest is take it back to the shop you bought it from and see if they will get bosch to credit it instead of exchange and upgrade to the 150

Or if you definately need a 125mm then have a look at the festool 125mm rotex.

Vastly superior but with a price to match the quality.

thanks all, for the replies

the 150mm just seems a bit too big/heavy

Im still waiting on Bosch testing/finding one that works.

Theyve been doing that for 2 weeks, so it does not bode well.
