Botched Execution

The US is in a bind because they don't want to be cruel when they kill people and far too many people object to it.

American doctors get struck off for performing an execution.

American drug companies won't sell chemicals used in lethal injections because of financial and reputational harm

No one will tolerate the inevitable images of bodies crushed in industrial juicers.

The US as a nation is too violent to abolish the death penalty and too squeamish/principled to carry it out.

Apparently they are searching everywhere for suitable drugs including the central and South American sources that they condemn for supplying their youth

Lethal injection is probably the most sanitized execution for viewing
Other methods you'd probably have lawsuits for PTSD

I don't get why it's so complicated. The vet managed to execute our two cats successfully when they were terminally ill and suffering, as they all do routinely.

Scale up the dose, job done surely? Or are "professionals" knowingly botching the job as a political protest? Whoops, missed the vein.
Expert on tv is saying they can't research human lethal injection ethically . That explains the mistakes

I can't say I blame them, but the to be executed are increasingly opting to disrupt the process. There is some evidence that the kicking and throwing about, is a show. In one recent case of Nitrogen hypoxia the "patient" held his breath as long as he could and then released in one go to attempt to dislodge the gas mask. This resulted in air getting in.

It's only natural for a human to fight to survive.
